And I heart them mucho lots. Especially Dior Homme and Marni. I must try out that new way that Dior ties bowties. It’s fierce.

Anne Demeulemeester Spring 09

Right just looking through the Ann Demeulmeester Spring 09 Menswear collection and, Mizz Demeulemeester, as fierce as you are, a few issues need to be adressed.

• First of all I would just like to let you know that you are easily my favourite designer as of late and I absolutely love the sandals! (send me a pair whenever you feel like it) ;P

• Then on to what I absolutely loved the most about the show: you, my lady, have broken away from the conventional “under 20, brawn, high cheekbone” models and you have made a breakthrough in putting middle aged men down your runway and you pulled it off!!!

Dayum! Now I know that all of you are probably thinking “oh hell no did she come up with that idea, Dame Westwood beat her to it in her Spring/Summer 09 show too

but the difference there is, Viv had Roma gypsys (thought of as basically rednecks of eastern europe) in underwear and gold tooth caps, Ann had normal, stylish, middle-aged men in tailored suits. It just works a teensy bit better that way in my opinion. Anyway I absolutely loved it and it should definitely be seen more often! (The tailored normal men, that is. NO MORE GYPSYS PLEEASE!!!) Opinions? Controversy is always welcome 😀

• Next issue at hand is how skinny I noticed some of the models were! Like Heroine chic skinny!

I mean I’m all for the whole size zero guy thing but this is just messy skinny! Not hot. Did you ever think that with our ever more metrosexual society, men are being effected by the pressure that the media poses to become skinny? I mean I know that men don’t want to be like scrawny skinny but 20 years ago, men didn’t give a shit and women fell right into their arms, now they need to diet and did you know that one in 10 anorexics are now male? Google that shit! It’s true! Anyway tell me what you think. If you are male, do you feel the pressure? If you are female (or male), what weight would you like your man to me? And if you’re a hot tranny mess, yo fierce! 😀

• And last but not least, I simply couldn’t help myself think that this model looks strangely like Zac Efron!
